The ILMUNC Vietnam Secretariat consists of five of the most involved, passionate, and internationally aware members of the International Affairs Association at the University of Pennsylvania. With a diverse range of majors, interests, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences, each member of the team brings a unique perspective to the conference. For the past year, they have worked tirelessly to provide an unforgettable experience to the participants of ILMUNC Vietnam II, and they are dedicated to ensuring that the conference is rewarding and enjoyable for all delegates.
Proud is a sophomore in the Wharton school and plans to study finance and management. She hails from Bangkok, Thailand where she went to school and joined Model UN in middle school. Her passion for the activity grew with every conference she attended and she eventually went on to serve as the Secretary-General of her high school and national conferences. On campus, Proud serves as the Under-Secretary-General of Crisis for ILMUNC Philadelphia, and VP of Internal Affairs for Wharton Asia Exchange. In her spare time, Proud loves exploring aesthetically pleasing and delicious restaurants and binge-watching TV series for hours on end. Serving as Secretary-General of ILMUNC Vietnam and bringing such a great experience to South-east Asia has been an amazing experience for Proud and she could not be more excited to see you all in May at conference.
Anushrut is a sophomore in the School of Engineering and Applied Science currently planning to major in Computer Engineering. Born in India but having spent the majority of his formative years in the UK and Spain, he struggles to pinpoint his true home. Anushrut has been involved in the IAA since his freshman year, joining as an Assistant Secretary General for UPMUNC LI. This past year, he served as an Under Secretary General for UPMUNC LII and chaired an all-Spanish committee for ILMUNC Perú III. As a delegate, Anushrut participated in Model UN since the 6th grade, and recently joined Penn’s competitive Model UN Team, Intercol. In his free time, you can find him playing or watching soccer and jamming out on the electric guitar or just having a good time with friends. He loves to meet new people and having seen the powerful effect of bringing Model UN to students across the world last summer in Perú, he is eager to build upon last year’s inaugural conference and provide an amazing experience to students at ILMUNC Vietnam II!
Chief of Staff
Joanna is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences dual majoring in Economics and Computer Science. She is a Philadelphia native. She has been a member of the International Affairs Association since her freshman year and currently serves as the Chief of Operations for the Secretary Board. Additionally, she has staffed various committees for UPMUNC and ILMUNC Philadelphia. In her free time, she loves exploring the food truck scene in the city, going on long runs, and spending time with her friends. As someone of Vietnamese heritage, Joanna looking forward to making ILMUNC Vietnam II an unforgettable time!
Chief of Operations
Andy is a junior at the Wharton School, concentrating in Finance, Real Estate, and Management. As a member of the International Affairs Association, Andy competes on Penn's Model UN Travel Team, Intercol. He is also involved in organizing ILMUNC as an USG of operations. Previously, Andy has also been involved in organizing ILMUNC Vietnam's sister conference in Shanghai, China. In his free time, Andy enjoys, food, photography, and traveling the world. He is delighted to be apart of creating a memorable experience at ILMUNC Vietnam II!
Julia is a sophomore at the Wharton School, concentrating in Marketing and minoring in Latin American and Latino Studies. She was born and raised in Brazil, participating in MUN conferences all throughout high school. She has been part of the International Affairs Association at Penn since her freshman year, helping organize ILMUNC in Philadelphia and other events for the club. In her free time, she loves tap dancing, taking photos and traveling around the world. She is incredibly excited to visit Vietnam and make ILMUNC Vietnam II the best conference yet!
